Recent Southwest

If you have not visited the Southwestern US, you need to! We just returned from a two week vacation to visit my husbands family, and to travel to the Grand Canyon and National Parks in Utah. First, the people are so friendly, not just in the tourist spots, but even just in the supermarket. Such a nice departure from the 'rush-rush-get out of my way-east coast'. I have been to Arizona before, and it has always amazed me the variety of both temperature and landscape in one state! We left 85 degree Phoenix desert and within a 2 hour drive north were in Sedona, cooler temperatures and red rock mountains, and we were not far from the Grand Canyon, where we needed our coats! My favorite by far was Zion National Park in southern Utah. "God's Backyard" another visitor called it. Absolutely stunning. We also visited Bryce Canyon in Utah, and Antelope Canyon in Northern Arizona.
Can't wait to go back!
