Last weekend my friend Sue and I took our annual summer trip to see Lyle Lovett and His Large Band at the South Shore Music Circus. This is our 5th time and let me tell you, they never dissapoint! We loved it so much we went back the following evening to their show at The Cape Cod Melody Tent. A great bunch of talented musicians and the wry humor only Lovett can provide. At these small venues you feel like you are a guest at their party. We were double pleased to see Ray Herndon back on tour with the band. A very talented songwriter with a velvet voice, who opened for Lovett at the show we went to a few years back He was gracious enough to pose for a couple pics, thanks Ray! Let me know if you need a photographer for that next album!

The Power of Play
I was honored to photograph Dr. David Elkind, a noted child development expert, on Cape Cod last week. He was gracious enough to give me a copy of one of his latest books, The Power of Play. This is a topic dear to my heart, as I feel kids today are so overscheduled and lack the "play time" that so many of us took for granted in our childhoods. It warms my heart when I see my son playing Legos for hours on end , or my girls creating stories and plays. David, thank you. I am enjoying your book already.

Just a shout out Thank You to my good friends in South Carolina who put me up for a week in May. I had a blast with all of you, especially cutie Miss H! All the people in Greenville, SC were so lovely, everyone is friendly and out to please even a Northerner like me. We should take a lesson from their slower pace. K, again, thank you for everything!
