Talented Musical Senior

What a treat it was listening to this Senior guy play the piano. Boy do I wish I had musical talent like that. Thanks for sharing, D. Here's a couple from his session at home....

Fun with Good Friends

This was a very special session for me this past weekend. My girlfriend J and I have been friends for almost (I cant believe I am saying this....) 30 years. On Cape Cod there is a great secret location that she has been sharing with me as long as I have know her. (I am into secret locations lately!) So it was a "no brainer" that her portraits were to be made at one of her most favorite places on earth. Isn't this a beautiful family? I even caught her unaware of the camera, just enjoying the surroundings. Thanks guys-here's your sneak peek!

A Picture Perfect Weekend...

Or a weekend perfect for pictures at the beach! Beautiful weather for two sessions on our lovely South Shore Beaches. Sometimes I am amazed at the great locations where I get to "go to work." Thanks to these two great families for sharing them with me.

More from the beach...

Its Senior Portrait Time!

Had a great time with Miss L yesterday- she and her Mom let me take them to one of my secret funky locations. I am lucky to have created Senior Portraits for her two older sisters before her, and they are one of my favorite families in town. Now is the time to book your Senior Portrait session,  I offer a  "Bring a Friend" special in July and August-call for more information- the dates fill fast! Back to school time is way too crazy-have your portraits done NOW while you are relaxed.

A sneak peek.....

And more....

Alpacas and cows and dogs.......Oh my!

This session was so much fun!! The rain held out saturday for us to capture this great family on their beautiful farm in East Bridgewater.  Many other characters joined us, including the alpacas, some bunnies and the dogs, of course. (The cows passed us by in favor of dinner in the barn). This truly was a fun session. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property and family with me.

"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on" - Carl Sandburg

I was lucky to photograph this little girl's older brother  few months back. Thanks K, for sharing little Miss S with me today. She is so beautiful and look how aware she is at one only week, looking out to see the world.

Thats right, you're not from Texas!

Last weekend my friend Sue and I took our annual summer trip to see Lyle Lovett and His Large Band at the South Shore Music Circus. This is our 5th time and let me tell you, they never dissapoint! We loved it so much we went back the following evening to their show at The Cape Cod Melody Tent. A great bunch of talented musicians and the wry humor only Lovett can provide. At these small venues you feel like you are a guest at their party. We were double pleased to see Ray Herndon back on tour with the band.  A very talented songwriter with a velvet voice, who opened for Lovett at the show we went to a few years back  He was gracious enough to pose for a couple pics, thanks Ray! Let me know if you need a photographer for that next album!

Flower Girls (and guy!)

A laid back session for this family at home surrounded by beautiful gardens, a perfect setting! Heres a little Sneak Peek for you and your cute little neighbors!!

Dads get in on the action!

Saturday, Dads had their chance for their time in the spotlight, or studio lights, rather! Just a couple from a fun afternoon of Dad & Me Mini Sessions...

The Power of Play

I was honored to photograph Dr. David Elkind, a noted child development expert, on Cape Cod last week. He was gracious enough to give me a copy of one of his latest books, The Power of Play. This is a topic dear to my heart, as I feel kids today are so overscheduled and lack the "play time" that so many of us took for granted in our childhoods. It warms my heart when I see my son playing Legos for hours on end , or my girls creating stories and plays. David, thank you. I am enjoying your book already.

Great Day at Borderland

Was fun exploring the park with these little cuties who brought their fun parents along. We never did find Charlie the Frog, D!

Pups in the Park

A bit behind in my recent sessions posting. This great family wanted a portait in the park with all "three" of their kids. As you can see, there's lots of love between siblings.
